At 23:17, every clock in the town of Tel Mahog stops. When the lights come back on, Mrs. Elias the librarian is gone, and nobody remembers she ever existed.

Nobody except Noam Vail, the night before he turns 13. He keeps a casebook, and in it he finds a line he doesn’t remember writing: “This has happened six times before.”

With his friend Mia, Noam has one night to find out what the town forgot, and who will be next.
